OurFamilyWizard's pricing page says each parent needs their own subscription, on one of four plans billed for a year or two at a time. Two Porch Lights covers you and your co-parent with one subscription and no tiers: $99 a year or $12 a month on the website. OurFamilyWizard does a good deal that Two Porch Lights does not, and this page says what.

OurFamilyWizard details were read on October 1, 2026 from OurFamilyWizard's own website and help center, listed below. Prices are from its U.S. site. Bought inside its phone app, the price is the one the App Store or Google Play shows, which can differ from its website. Its pricing page also shows each plan as a monthly figure, which is the term price divided by the months in the term; its help center says it does not offer installment or monthly payment plans, and its pricing page shows one-year terms billed annually and two-year terms billed every two years. The two-parent totals are our arithmetic for two parents on the same plan, on one-year terms: 2 × $110 = $220, 2 × $149.99 = $299.98, 2 × $216 = $432 and 2 × $299.88 = $599.76 a year. On a two-year term two parents on the same plan pay $220, $276, $396 or $551.76 per year in total. Choose your own is a starting price, and its optional add-ons cost extra. OurFamilyWizard says one parent may pay for the other, that parents who qualify and apply for its fee waiver can get a free subscription, and that with its military discount one parent pays and the other parent's subscription is free. Two Porch Lights prices are its website prices. Plans change, so confirm current prices and features on OurFamilyWizard's site before you decide.

That OurFamilyWizard offers no free trial is also its own statement, in a reply dated June 3, 2026 on its Google Play listing.
Parents who qualify and apply for OurFamilyWizard's fee waiver can get a free subscription, and with its military discount one parent pays and the other parent's subscription is free.
Start free · no credit cardOurFamilyWizard does a good deal that Two Porch Lights does not. If any of these matter in your case, OurFamilyWizard may be the right choice.
Calls between co-parents run over the internet, so no phone number is shared, and each parent has to turn Calls on. Minutes depend on the plan: receive-only, 45 a month, or unlimited. Two Porch Lights has no calling of any kind.
On its Max plan, outgoing calls can be recorded and transcribed when the caller and the co-parent each consent to the recording. Two Porch Lights records no calls.
Parents or their attorneys can request a business records affidavit from OurFamilyWizard, signed by its custodian of record and a notary, and its Premium plan lists unlimited certified records. Parents can also download their own reports. Two Porch Lights does not certify or notarize records: its message log is a PDF with a watermark.
OurFamilyWizard says a sent message cannot be edited, deleted or unsent, and each one is stamped when it is first viewed. In Two Porch Lights there is no button to edit or delete a message, but if a parent deletes their account the messages they sent are removed, and a message is marked Delivered when the other parent's app loads it, not when it is read.
Parents who qualify for its fee waiver can get a free subscription with everything in the Essentials plan plus unlimited calling minutes. Each parent applies for their own, and it is renewed by a new application each year. With its military discount, by application, when either parent is active duty, retired military or a veteran, one parent pays and the other parent's subscription is free. Two Porch Lights has no fee waiver program. If cost is the obstacle, look at these first.
Child accounts, third-party accounts for people such as grandparents or caregivers, and professional accounts for lawyers, mediators and therapists are all free. A Two Porch Lights space has two members, the two parents. An attorney or mediator gets an expiring read-only code instead of an account.
A Check-in logs your GPS location when you make it, and OFWpay lets co-parents in the United States pay each other from a linked bank account inside the app. Two Porch Lights check-ins record the time from the clock of the device that logged them, with no location, and it never links a bank account or moves money.
OurFamilyWizard announced a Spanish version of its mobile app in February 2026, and its website is also published in Spanish and French. Two Porch Lights is in English only.
OurFamilyWizard's home page dates its work to 2001, and its page for courts says judges in all 50 states order its use in contested cases and offers sample order language. Two Porch Lights is a newer app and does not claim that any court orders or recommends it.
Everything below describes Two Porch Lights only. What OurFamilyWizard's own pages say about subscriptions, trials, expenses, payments and check-ins is in the table and the section above. For anything not shown there, check OurFamilyWizard's site.
One subscription covers the shared space for both parents, and either of you can be the one who subscribes. Your co-parent joins free with your invite link or code.
There are no tiers to upgrade into, and the shared space costs nothing extra for the second parent. On the website you can pay $99 a year or $12 a month. In the iPhone and Android apps you can pay yearly or monthly through the App Store or Google Play, at the price shown there. Cancel anytime. The one personal extra is the private Tax Center, described below.
The first 30 days are free with no credit card, and 30 more are added when your co-parent joins (60 days total). If nobody subscribes after that, the space becomes read-only for each of you and nothing is deleted.
Two Porch Lights never links a bank account or moves money, and it never reads your device's location. You pay each other your usual way and record the payment, and mileage is worked out from addresses, not from where your phone is.
Photograph a receipt or upload a PDF, and AI fills in the amount, date, store and category. Each expense is split by the percentages you set.
Track 529s, daycare, medical costs and tuition in a space only you can see, then build an Accountant Packet PDF. The private Tax Center is included for the parent who created the space. A parent who joined from an invite gets their own by adding their own plan. It is a record, not tax advice.
Follow your court order first. If it names an app, use that one, or ask your attorney before switching.
OurFamilyWizard's pricing page says each parent needs their own subscription. On October 1, 2026 its U.S. site listed four plans for a one-year term: Choose your own from $110 (optional add-ons cost extra), Essentials at $149.99, Premium at $216 and Max at $299.88, each per parent. For two parents on the same plan that is 2 × $110 = $220, 2 × $149.99 = $299.98, 2 × $216 = $432 or 2 × $299.88 = $599.76 a year. Two-year terms are $220, $276, $396 and $551.76 per parent, so two parents on the same plan pay those same amounts per year in total. Its help center says it does not offer installment or monthly payment plans. OurFamilyWizard says one parent may pay for the other, and it has a fee waiver program and a military discount for parents who qualify.
For two parents who each pay full price, Two Porch Lights costs less: $99 a year, or $12 a month, on the website, and one subscription covers both parents. Two parents on OurFamilyWizard's lowest-priced plan pay 2 × $110 = $220 a year at the prices it listed on October 1, 2026. Price is not the whole picture. OurFamilyWizard has calls, certified records, GPS check-ins and free accounts for children, third parties and professionals, which Two Porch Lights does not have. If you qualify and apply for OurFamilyWizard's fee waiver you can get a free subscription, and with its military discount one parent pays and the other parent's subscription is free.
Its pricing page lists no free trial. For a first subscription bought on its website, OurFamilyWizard offers a full refund if you ask within 30 days; purchases made through the App Store or Google Play follow Apple's or Google's refund rules. Its help center says it does not offer installment or monthly payment plans; its pricing page bills one-year terms annually and two-year terms every two years. Two Porch Lights starts with 30 days free and no credit card, plus 30 more when your co-parent joins (60 days total), and can be paid by the month on the website or in the iPhone and Android apps.
No. Your co-parent joins free with an invite link or code, and one subscription covers your shared space for each of you: the calendar, expenses, and messaging. Either of you can be the one who subscribes. The one personal extra is the private Tax Center: it is included for the parent who created the space, and a parent who joined from an invite gets their own by adding their own plan.
A good deal, going by OurFamilyWizard's own site. It has audio and video calls, with recording and transcripts on its Max plan when each parent consents; Two Porch Lights has no calling. On request it provides a notarized business records affidavit, and its Premium plan lists unlimited certified records; Two Porch Lights does not certify records, and its message log is a watermarked PDF. It says a sent message cannot be edited, deleted or unsent and is stamped when first viewed; in Two Porch Lights a parent who deletes their account removes the messages they sent, and Delivered means the other parent's app loaded the message, not that it was read. It has GPS check-ins; Two Porch Lights never reads your device's location. It offers free accounts for children, third parties and professionals, bank payments through OFWpay in the United States, a fee waiver program, a military discount, and a Spanish version of its app. Two Porch Lights is in English only and has no fee waiver program. Whichever app you use, whether a record is accepted or given weight is up to the court.
Two Porch Lights has no import built for OurFamilyWizard records: none for calendar entries, expenses or call records. The message import in Settings labels everything it brings in as imported from TalkingParents, so do not use it for an OurFamilyWizard report. That history stays in OurFamilyWizard and in the reports you download from it. OurFamilyWizard says parents can download message, calendar, expense and journal reports from their account, so save the ones you need before your subscription ends. In Two Porch Lights you start a new record: create your space, and the first setup tile, Start from your parenting plan, lets AI read your court order and fill in what it finds, such as names, children, the schedule, holidays, the split and child support. It takes a PDF or a .txt file, and on the website a scanned PDF works too, up to 40 scanned pages. Then invite your co-parent with a link or code.
Not on your own. If your order names a specific app, use that one, or ask your attorney before switching. Two Porch Lights is not a law firm, and nothing here is legal advice. If your order leaves the choice of app to you, talk with your co-parent first, because the calendar, expenses and messages are shared only once they join.
